With gratitude and love I

In today’s economy and
world conditions, we may be
seeking new ways to
recognize life’s blessings
and open up to our good.
We
may even be feeling a bit discouraged by the “life is
tough” attitude. With
this in mind, I want to share some inspiring words from W. H. Murray who
wrote his first
book on toilet paper while
living as a prisoner of war
during WWII.
He said: “The
moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All
sorts
of things occur to help
one that would otherwise
never have occurred. A
whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all
manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which
no man (or woman) could have dreamed would come his (or her) way.”
Jesus puts it another way:
“...give, and it will be given to you. A good
measure,
pressed down, shaken t
ogether, and running over,
will be put into
your lap;…” (Luke 6:38)
In the Hebrew Scriptures we read,
“...put
me to the test, says the Lord
of hosts;
see if I will not open the windows of heaven for
you and pour down for you
an overflowing blessing. (Malachi 3:10)
The blessings of committed giving are beyond measure.
