and flute player Bird is Southern Paiute.
In addition to his Native American heritage, Bird has been
influenced by folk, bluegrass, Celtic and country music.
In 2007, Bird captured one of the biggest awards in his genre when
he received a Native American Music Award as Artist of the Year.
