From Glory to Glory

Hello Beloved!

What a lovely week of warmer weather and sunlight. The rhythm of the season continues as our teacher. As I walk along the beach and dip into the woods, an excitement rises within me as I anticipate the arrival of Spring. A time of renewal and preparation for the new to emerge. The birds seem giddy, sunlight sparkles upon the water, humans shed their winter coats Only the dogs seem just as joyous and playful no matter the weather or season!

How beautifully crafted the Christian calendar is to place Lent during this season. An internal spring cleaning, the washing of the windows that we may see clearly, grow and rise through another season.

It has been nearly two years since I met you. As I walked the gulf on Naple’s beach, the warm waters invited a baptism of sorts. I dunked myself into the water and imagined releasing all that came before. Through an anointing, I invited a new image of ministry.

Though spending many years in Unity and new thought churches, I noticed stagnation and resistance even among those of us who claimed spiritual awakening. Even the light chasers have shadows. Who will I be? Will I die? It is an identity crisis worthy of compassion and Love’s embrace.

Many of us identify as “spiritual seekers.” While this is a great beginning, it is just that. I am interested in and choose to rediscover and to be found. If heaven is indeed within us, then there is nowhere to go. Our ashram for awakening is this life, and our life is perfectly designed to finally arrive home to heaven within now. It’s calling us.

I decree that Unity Renaissance is our sanctuary and ashram for this spiritual awakening as we rise above crucifixion experiences into finding and being the arisen Christ and “savior” of our times. This is the living Christ in us and as us, our hope and glory, now and forevermore.

That Easter two years ago, I had grown weary of pain pushing me into spurts of growth. I had also grown weary of the deep impact the “traditional” Christian view that focuses upon sin, suffering, and purification through the blood of Jesus.  Our metaphysical teaching shows us another way. In The Way of the Heart, Jeshua’s own voice affirms this way and the true intention of his ministry.

He invites us to step into sovereign mastery in our lives and world.  We are the creators of our experience. Is death required? Yes, but that which dies was never truly alive.  We are asked to forgive and release our mis-imaginings born of fear and separation and to reimagine what Unity means now.

This season, I invite us to forgive and release pain as the primary impetus for growth. To let go of the axiom, “no pain, no gain.”  Sure, it can lead to growth. But more often we get stuck in its story where we may hang out for months, years, decades or even lifetimes.

Consider that Vision pulls us forward into growth.  What if we commit our time, energy and practice upon the Vision of Love and the True desires of the heart to propel us into our growth?  What would happen if our predominant stories were about how love, kindness, and generosity grow us?

I see Unity Renaissance leading from Vision and Love. I envision Unity Renaissance as a vital center of energy that attracts those searching for a new way.  May we be the place folks find and are found.  May we be the beacon of light in this world. May we prepare our internal space to receive.  May our outer home be a center of forgiveness, release and a new vision that serves all those who are attracted to our ashram.

The thought system that created angst, chaos, corruption and wars we see playing out in the world is already dead. It's putting up a bit of a fuss that seems scary.  But like any bully that puffs itself up, it is simply hiding the weakness upon which it knows it stands.  Let us boldly and steadfastly keep our eye single upon our vision that our entire body – mental, emotional, physical, ethereal bodies – may be filled with the light that pulls us forward.

Imagine the power of our entire community engaged in an EVERYONE FORGIVES practice.  Join us this month for The Power of Forgiveness on Sundays and a community-wide intensive workshop where we’ll learn the process of forgiveness by Jeshua himself.  Imagine a practice that forgives the one who seems to be nailing you to a cross that heals you both such that both become sovereign masters that heals and saves many in our world?  That’s the Power of Forgiveness we speak of.

“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18

I Love You,
