My back yard was my whole world growing up. It was the safe place between home and the adventures that awaited in the woods beyond. There was a young red maple tree just outside the back door on the side of a hill. This tree was designated as "home base" by the kids when we played hide and seek. I remember when I was "it" hiding my eyes by that tree counting 1-100, 2-100, 3-100 and so on till 10. I'd open my eyes and go seeking to find all those hiding. If they could pass by me and get to "home base" before I tagged them, they were home free.
I like to think of home base as Unity Renaissance. I hold the vision now that we are all to come home and "touch home base" together. Wherever you are now, something is seeking to emerge through you and through us as Unity Renaissance.
A Rebirth is happening, indeed "must" happen, for our community to truly thrive.
While we are already a thriving, brilliant idea in the ever-evolving mind of God, we are called to anchor this in all aspects of our community.
The Re-Imagine Theme is centered upon our community joining together to remember and return to what binds us as One: our Unity Principles, a common vision based in love, peace and joy.
I vision that we ALL touch home base together as we Re-Align that we may Re-Imagine what Renaissance is all about: A Transformational Era of Rebirth and Renewal.
Our conversation has been to Re-Align in Spirit, placing God/Love Consciousness first. We raise our most valued and powerful resource, our attention, toward love, peace and joy. Since what we focus upon increases in our experience, we begin to see these qualities everywhere.
Our first application of this process has been to (re)Discover our Spiritual Gifts and how we may share them in Sacred Service in our Community. We will conclude this conversation on Sunday. We will have a Sacred Service Fair on Sunday September 7th. May we each find the right and perfect way to share our gifts, knowing that as we give, we most certainly receive more.
We will apply the same Principle to our Consciousness of Abundance and Prosperity based upon the book by John Randolph Price during Sunday Messages on August 24th and August 31st.
On August 27th I will offer a 6-week virtual class supporting the participants in a 40-day "pilgrimage" incorporating the simple Principles of Abundance and Prosperity to our finances and our lives. You will receive materials and the fellowship of the group to support you in the journey that is designed to shift our consciousness solely toward God-Consciousness as our total Source, Supply and Substance of all Good.
In September we will turn toward Membership and what it means in Unity and in Life. The entire community is invited to join us on September 14th & 15th during the Sunday Service AND afterward for a new Membership Pathway of Discovery Class. This is designed to bring us together, seasoned and newbies, member, or soon-to-be member, to Re-Member our roots and vision our future.
Remember: How we do some things is how we do all things. The principles underlying any endeavor remain the same. There’s a simplicity in spiritual practice. And, because our teaching is "absolute", nothing is really left out. It is the consciousness with which we do all things and ours is focused upon love, peace and joy.
